Pokémon Café Mix is a link-style touch screen puzzle game. It is quite simple and doesn’t require any comprehensive skill to complete the stages. In this game, your goal is to run and operate your cafe with other Pokémon staffs. At the beginning you will meet with two other stuffs only. There is a girl Leah who will guide you through the game by showing various tutorials and explanations to help you complete orders from different customers, and Eevee is your first Pokémon staff member.

After you complete more orders during different puzzle stages, you will receive a series of prizes including golden acorns and stars, and you will get a chance to unlock more Pokémon staff members and decorations to expand your Café.

To complete the puzzles, you just tap the screen and simply move your finger around to link as many Pokémon icons of the same type as possible to get high scores. You have limited number of moves at each stage so make sure you complete the mission within the required moves. The remaining icons will bounce around the board freely after you eliminate same icons, so you need to move your finger wisely to make sure the icons and other items fall on the position you want.

Café Skills & Pokémon Specialty

As you progress through more stages and complete different forms of orders, you will recruit Pokémon visitors as your staffs. Each Pokémon has its own specialty and skill to help you fulfill different types of orders. For example, Charmander’s specialty is drinks, so you can make it as your Café leader to help you complete drink orders faster. And its skill can clear Pokémon icons and gimmicks to the right. Therefore, choose right Pokémon staff to help you on the matched orders will help you a lot in completing the puzzles at a higher score.

To use the Café skill, you need to make multiple combos to fill up the gauge to activate it.

The megaphone can help you clear icons in the directions it’s facing.

Helping Paw helps you to clear a Pokémon icon gimmick that you put it on. Other than these skills, there are many more skills for you to discover as you level up.

Gimmicks

When you level up, you will encounter different unique items called “Gimmicks” that require certain rules to clear. You can either repeatedly clear Pokémon links near the Gimmicks, or use different Café Skills to eliminate them.

To clear a sugar cube or a dollop of whipped cream, you need to make combos 3 times next to it or hit it with a certain Café skill.

To clear tomatoes, you need to clear the Pokémon icons at the bottom of the board to let the tomatoes drop into the basket below.

Café Challenge

You can also take challenges to earn more rewards. Go to Challenge Card and accomplish different tasks such as clearing certain gimmicks or making enough “Excellent” combos. Each Challenge Card has three tasks, and if you finish all three of them you will earn massive golden acorns which are the sole currency in the game and allow you to buy items and extra lives.

Shop

The in-game currency is the golden acorn which you can earn through completing puzzles and challenges. You can buy different packs using golden acorns, or simply purchase them with real money.
