Sumikkogurashi Farm Review – An Adorable & Relaxing Farm Simulation Game

Imagineer released its farm simulation game Sumikkogurashi Farm on mobile last week. It features cute art style with several adorable Sumikkogurashi characters that will help you grow your farm and earn Coins and jewels to decorate the places as you like. I’m quite pleased and relaxed during the gameplay with Sumikkogurashi! Here are some of the main features that I was enjoying in Sumikkogurashi Farm.

Grow crops and make different snacks & drinks

The main task in Sumikkogurashi Farm is to make your farm run better and larger. You will get several lands to grow wheat, tea leaves, coffee beans and other crops, and use them to make cream, tea or other snacks and dishes. Each crop and product needs time to be completed, so you can put the items in its place and leave it alone to do your business, and harvest the crops and receive products when it is finished.

You can feed the cows in Cow Barn. Once the cows are fed up, they will produce milk as the ingredient of cream and the drinks in the Milk Factory and Sweet Shop.

In bakery you can make bread out of wheat. Once you reach the higher level, you can unlock the other types of snacks.

There will be coming up different orders at the bottom right corner. When you answer these orders with the food you have, you can receive Experience Point (XP) and Coins to help you level up.

Decorate your farm with various decorations

As you level up, you will be able to get Jewels and Recipes to create new things. The Recipes in Sumikkogurashi Farm are used to craft new items on your farm. Once you collect enough Recipes for the decoration, you can unlock it and use Coins to put the decoration at anywhere you want on your farm. It is very funny to see the Sumikkogurashi characters sitting on the log chair that I put on the farm as it seems like they are actually engaging with me.

Clear Quests will also help you to get more Recipes for different decorations. Each time when you complete a Quest, you will earn Quest Points and have a chance to open a Treasure Chest which contains various types of rewards. And you can expand your farm with Coins to grow more crops and put more decorations on.

Dress up your Sumikkogurashi characters

According to the description of Imagineer, Shirokuma is a shy bear who migrated south to avoid the cold. Besides five bears there are also Neko, Tokage, Penguin and other adorable creatures. In the cottage, you can change your characters’ outfit into different styles as you like.

You can buy different outfits in the store with Jewels, or might get luck to receive them as reward in the Treasure Box.

Interact with your friends in Community Farms

If you feel bored while waiting for the crops and products to be done, you can go to the Community Farms and visit your friends’ farms to see how they decorate their farms. You can search your friends’ ID and follow them as well.

Each day you have up to 5 presents that you can give to your friends. And you can also take their presents in the mailbox. So try to make more friends so you can get more Coins and Jewels every day.

You can buy outfits, fertilizer and other tools with Jewels and Coins in the store to help you grow the crops more quickly. If you run out of Jewels, you can buy them at Jewel Store with real money starts from $0.99 only which is quite a bargain.

Conclusion

I’ve played Sumikkogurashi Farm for a couple of days and find it quite addictive. The funny background music and the adorable art designs make me feel very relaxed during gameplay. As a farm simulation, it doesn’t needs you to keep staring at the screen as everything will run itself. But if you are not a fan of such type of games, you may feel it boring and proceeds too slowly. So if you prefer fast-paced gameplay, you can pass this game directly.
