Considered as the first popular anime, there’s no better way to start off this list than with the beloved robot. Starting off as a Manga from Osamu Tezuka, the afternoon cartoon is now at the tip of our fingers--in the form of an adorable, and surprisingly complex endless runner. Released in celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Animoca production is a fitting tribute, packed with Tezuka's familiar characters.
In this new adventure, it seems our little Atom has grown bored of the Professor's lectures. Help him run away from his daily routine, and find excitement in the perilous streets. Astro Boy Dash plays a lot like traditional runners, but instead of just taps and swipes, you'll have to tilt your device to avoid obstacles and collect coins and powerups. While it adds a new layer of complexity, it has been criticized for its rather unintuitive controls.
Despite that, the game definitely succeeds in terms of visuals--managing to capture the colorful atmosphere of the original anime. It's not the Astro Boy we loved, but it's a good enough runner. It has a PlayScore of 7.16.
