Il simulatore di fresatrice CNC è un'applicazione multimediale progettata per fornire un'introduzione di base ai professionisti dell'ingegneria meccanica principianti con i principi delle operazioni di programmazione per le parti di fresatura utilizzando un codice G standard (ISO).
Il compito principale dell'applicazione è l'analisi sintattica (parsing) del codice dei programmi di controllo al fine di costruire un modello grafico delle traiettorie degli utensili da taglio nello spazio tridimensionale.
Le principali funzioni dell'applicazione: modifica del codice dei programmi di controllo della fresatrice, operazioni con i file dei programmi di controllo, impostazione dei parametri geometrici dell'utensile da taglio, esecuzione continua/passo passo di blocchi di programmi di controllo, tre -visualizzazione dimensionale dei movimenti utensile nello spazio di lavoro della macchina, visualizzazione semplificata della superficie lavorata del pezzo, calcolo delle modalità di lavorazione, una guida di riferimento rapido all'utilizzo del G-code.
I principali limiti dell'applicazione sono: bassa precisione di modellazione della superficie di taglio, impossibilità di utilizzare la geometria poligonale come pezzo, un modello semplificato di elementi di macchina utensile.
Il compito principale dell'applicazione è l'analisi sintattica (parsing) del codice dei programmi di controllo al fine di costruire un modello grafico delle traiettorie degli utensili da taglio nello spazio tridimensionale.
